The Palace Minister of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, seems to be running around making false claims about deplorable White nationalists again. Sure they’re afraid a few Taliban terrorists are going to sneak into America from Afghanistan but the ones to watch out for are the “anti-government and White supremacist groups.” They’re planning another rally at the Capitol, this time demanding “justice” for the J6 non-insurrectionists.
Security on alert
Federal security officials claim to be on “high alert for threats to the homeland.” They have three at the top of their list. One of those three is the Trump supporting anti-government and White supremacist groups. Proud Boys are just as terrifying as the Taliban, Mayorkas insists.
Right now, there are “several narrative trends” on the extremist chat boards. The chatter suggests “concerns that the relocation of Afghans to the US would lead to a loss of control and authority by the White race.” Cracker barrel conservatives have been calling it the “great replacement concept.” You can’t deny they might have a point when we have foreigners flooding in from all over the planet. It’s not an invasion though. Not officially.
Homeland Security bigwigs are also nervous about the rumors “framing the activities of the Taliban as a success.” Those are the ones talking about how the towel heads are flying Black Hawk helicopters around on joyrides.
What Mayorkas can’t handle is the “commentary focusing on potential acts of violence directed at US government, law enforcement, and others who are symbols of the current government structure.” The translation for that from government speak is that Biden isn’t happy about everyone calling him a failure for blowing the bug out.
The deplorables are upsetting the immigrants by making them feel unwelcome, the palace security minister declares.
“There are concerns that those narratives may incite violent activities directed at immigrant communities, certain faith communities, or even those who are relocated to the United States.” Just because Abdul over there might be an ISIS sleeper cell on the down-low is no reason to worry. The FBI is “vetting” them. Somehow, heartland America isn’t finding that assurance very assuring.
One already made Qatar
Federal security officials are changing the subject when the talk turns to an ISIS soldier who managed to catch a plane out of Kabul and into Qatar. Thankfully, they caught him there, before he got here. Folks are wondering how many get missed. It only takes one.
Mayorkas at least acknowledges that the Taliban is a threat to us here at home. Individuals, he admits, “abroad in Afghanistan, who are associated with ISIS or al Qaeda, could use the relocation process as a way to enter the US.”
“To counteract that, there’s an extensive screening and vetting process that is in place.” Just like the one keeping MS-13 out. DHS Intelligence chief John Cohen backs his boss.
The ministry of security put Robert Fenton Jr., a regional FEMA administrator, in charge of the Afghani evacuees. They’re all going to camp for a while. Have faith, they soothe. The system is foolproof.
So far, only “a very small number of individuals who’ve been flagged for concern,” one security administrator notes. Without confirming it was the terrorist who made it to Qatar he did verify he was “referring to people overseas at so-called lily pad transfer point locations.” Doha, Qatar is one of those.
“Fleeing Afghans are sent to several overseas locations, where US Customs and Border Protection personnel are stationed. At that time, most evacuees provide biographic and biometric information, and are checked against US databases.”
