Congressional proceedings in the last six months have taught us many things, among them is the cold-hard fact that going toe to toe with Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is basically inciting your own mugging. Apparently Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) didn’t get the memo.
Jordan has been attempting to work an amendment into an upcoming Hate Crimes bill that would prevent defunding of police departments, thats what set Deming off. She called his amendment “completely irrelevant”.
Far Left Congressional Joke Demings Lined Herself Up
Demings seemed to take some issue with Rep. Jordan, according to The New York Post she said,
”I served as a law enforcement officer for 27 years,” said Demings, the former police chief of Orlando.
“It is a tough job, and good police officers deserve your support. You know, it’s interesting to see my colleagues on the other side of the aisle support the police when it is politically convenient to do so.”
The situation went downhill quickly from there… Congressman Jordan attempted to rebut Deming’s rantings only to have her shout him down slamming her hand on the podium as if addressing a misbehaving student.
”I have the floor, Mr. Jordan,” she then quipped. “What? Did I strike a nerve?”
“Law enforcement officers deserve better than to be utilized as pawns, and you and your colleagues should be ashamed of yourselves,” Demings added, she seems to have forgotten which party she’s in and which party is fond of using groups as monolithic pawns to advance their political agendas.
Jerry Nadler of New York impotently attempted to assert some order on the committee,
“I want to admonish members, they must not interrupt someone who has the time. You can’t shout out,” an exasperated Nadler said.
Jordan answered flippantly, “I agree.” But Demings didn’t know when to quit: “Mr. Jordan, you don’t know what the heck you’re talking about! You know nothing about law enforcement officers.”
“I know about my motives!” Jordan responded.
“You are using them as pawns because it serves your ridiculous political purpose!” Demings added. She continued to repeat her meritless accusation of Republican’s manipulating law enforcement until Nadler broke in again haltingly attempting to impose his will on both members.
And Jim Jordan Has Had Enough…
Congressman Jordan has been through worse and he knows it. Now it was time for him to demonstrate that fact to Demings. He quickly blasted her and the DNC for being deafeningly silent throughout the 180 days of burning cities and violent riots in 2020 amid Deming’s beloved ‘Social Justice’ and her pet domestic terrorists in BLM and Antifa.
Then Jordan went in for the proverbial kill,
“We condemned the violence on Jan. 6 and we condemned it last summer. It would’ve been nice if our colleagues on the other side had done the same,” Jordan said.
“All last summer when police were being pelted with frozen water bottles, bricks and beat up, where were they? They were raising money to bail out rioters who were doing those very actions to the police. And today we get a lecture about how we haven’t been consistent, you’ve got to be kidding me!” he concluded.
It was over before Val Demings even opened her mouth, she just didn’t know it yet.
