Donald Trump promised to have the Russia-Ukraine war ended as soon as he took office.

That has not happened yet.

In fact, the situation has become direr, with Russia launching yet another attack that resulted in NATO scrambling its fighters, creating more concern that we are closer to WWIII than ending this conflict.

Scramble the Fighters

The order by NATO to scramble fighters was given after a vicious drone strike by the Russians that took out more civilian targets as well as energy and military targets.

Putin continues to pummel civilian areas in hopes of breaking the spirit of Ukraine, but it has yet to work.

The latest attack was described by Head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, Andriy Yermak.

He explained, “Poltava, Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia – attacks on residential buildings, on civilians, are typical tactics of the Russian army. They also even wipe out villages in their own Kursk region with people, shelling them with KAB [aerial bombs]….

“The true face of Russia is this. Murderers who have absolutely no respect for any leader in the world, or any other nation. There’s only fear, which does not allow them to do the same in Europe. For now.”

NATO’s Warsaw command responded, “Attention, due to the attack of the Russian Federation performing strikes on facilities located, among others, in the west of Ukraine, the operation of Polish and allied aviation in our airspace has begun.”

Trump is reportedly talking to Russia to try to work out a deal, but Ukrainian President Zelensky has said he believes it is dangerous to negotiate without him at the table.

Trump answered by demanding that Ukraine give up its minerals in order to pay back all the money the United States has loaned Ukraine.

This is a big deal for Trump, and he needs to get this conflict over very quickly or it will continue to give the media more ammo against him.

This is exactly why I warned that he was overpromising, making ridiculous statements on the campaign trail that he could never deliver, such as ending this conflict on Day One.

We all know the media takes everything he says literally, so this is now a top priority for Trump.
