When Trump put Elon Musk in charge of DOGE, I don’t think he expected so much corruption, fraud, and wasteful spending to be exposed this quick.
Musk barely opened the books of USAID and he has found all three.
Well, USAID has since had its doors closed, with Secretary of State Rubio taking over (he has since delegated the role), telling current staffers to go home until further notice.
Lock It Down
USAID was established during the Kennedy presidency via Executive Order, which is key to all of this.
If an agency is formed via congressional legislation, it cannot be closed via executive order, but I do not believe there was ever any legislation passed to codify this agency.
There has been legislation to establish some of its programs, but those programs can be sent to other agencies if need be.
Musk claims he found fraud, wasteful spending, and corruption, and from what I have seen, he is absolutely right.
And you know he hit a nerve by the way Democrats are freaking out over this. They know we are getting a look inside their house of cards, and they are losing their minds.
It is to the point the Dems held a rally, telling people to rise up in the streets over the closing of this agency.
Sadly, I would bet the idiots supporting the Dems publicly did not even know what USAID was until a few days ago.
If they actually read the report, they might just be upset over how their money was being used by the government.
To give you an idea, some of the programs were for things like transgender operas, condom programs in Gaza, and, if you can believe it, a transgender comic book.
USAID was formed with good intent, to provide aid to countries, not to push a woke agenda, which is how Democrats are using it now.
Oh, and did I mention that Musk believes he found payments being made to known terrorist organizations or organizations with ties to terrorists?
Of course, the terrorist sympathizer we have in Congress was livid, with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) stating, “This is what the beginning of dictatorship looks like.
“What Trump and Elon and all of their cronies are trying to do, is take away the constitutional power of Congress.”
If she is upset, you know it’s a good thing, so keep going Elon!
