Joe Biden’s ill-conceived plot to appoint Nina Jankowicz as head of the DHS disinformation board blew up in his face. Caving in to conservative pressure, the palace announced on Wednesday that they’re re-thinking the whole idea. Meanwhile, Jankowicz quietly resigned and slithered away.

DHS disinformation board

Nina Jankowicz is widely considered in liberal circles to be “a disinformation expert with experience working on Ukraine and Russia issues.” The experience she has is of the throwing gasoline on a fire kind.

Putting her in charge of the DHS “Disinformation Governance Board” was a textbook case of putting a rat in charge of guarding the government cheese.

While officially, her “team was meant to coordinate department activities related to disinformation aimed at the U.S. population and infrastructure,” it was pretty clear it would be spreading that disinformation and aiming it like a laser scoped weapon at the population as a tool of control.

DHS officials were all for it.

By Wednesday, May 18, the DHS plan was such a hot potato that Department of Homeland Security tossed it in the corner.

As they put it, “the department paused the board.” Jankowicz handed in her resignation letter moments later. That’s not surprising because of all the “condemnation from GOP lawmakers and right-wing media.

Support for Hunter Biden

DHS should have known that they would get an earful after appointing a disinformation expert who’s on record saying things about Hunter Biden’s laptop and Christopher Steele. Especially when she discredited the laptop and stood firmly behind Steele. The exact opposite of the truth in both cases.

She’s an expert on disinformation, alright, conservatives agree. “With the Board’s work paused and its future uncertain,” she noted, “I have decided to leave DHS to return to my work in the public sphere.

Don’t let the screen door whap you on the bleep on the way out, conservatives jeer. Even DHS honcho Alejandro Mayorkas admits they could have done a better job sneaking her appointment under the radar.

They especially need to rethink the messaging about the fledgling propaganda ministry. “We probably could have done a better job of communicating what it does and does not do.

DHS explains they focus first on “disinformation surrounding human migration into the U.S.,” meaning they will censor you if you call it an invasion on social media. Calling an invasion an invasion is “disinformation” says the disinformation board, as they disinform the masses.

The other big threat comes from Russia aimed at US critical infrastructure. The critical infrastructure is Twitter and they’re convinced Elon Musk is a mole out to destroy democracy by telling the TRUTH that half of Biden’s followers are robots.
