With Trump about to come back into office, Democrats are starting to freak out over his immigration plans.

Trump has stated that he is going to flood sanctuary states with agents to remove illegal immigrants.

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, a Democrat, is now saying she will not cooperate.

The Refusal

When Hobbs was asked about Trump’s deportation plan, she stated that her state “will not be participating.”

She said she would make no state assets available to Trump to help with the roundup and deportations.

Hobbs was then asked why she did not want to have the illegals removed from her state.

She responded, “Well, I think that those efforts are going to divert needed resources that we need here on these drug interdiction and smuggling and trafficking efforts to keep harm out of our communities. We need those resources here.”

The bad news for Hobbs is that Trump does not need her approval or help.

Federal agencies can handle the deportation and there is nothing that Hobbs can do about it, as the Supreme Court has made it quite clear that immigration falls under federal purview.

Incoming Border Czar Tom Homan has already told states that if they are not going to help, they need to get out of his way at risk of their own peril.

Trump has even stated that he plans on using the military to help offset the assets that will be pulled from the border for the big roundup and deportation.

This is going to be a day one project, so get ready for the outrage right after Donald Trump retakes his oath of office.
