Over the last two weeks, the “Trump Dance” has been blowing up online.
Jon Jones did it after winning his MMA fight, and several football players have done the dance after scoring or making big defensive plays.
Appeals were made to the NFL to ban the dance, but it is not going to happen.
Pump the Brakes
Since Nick Bosa was fined more than $11,000 for photobombing a national TV interview with a MAGA hat on, surely everyone thought the league would ban the dance as well.
This all got triggered after Raiders star TE Brock Bowers did the dance after scoring
Bowers claimed he had no idea the dance was associated with Trump, which is utterly ridiculous.
He stated, “I’ve seen everyone do it … I watched the UFC fight last night and Jon Jones did it. I like watching UFC, so I saw it and thought it was cool.”
He was not alone, however, as the Detroit Lions defense did the dance, as did WR Calvin Ridley.
In case you have not seen the clips, this is what the fuss is all about…

The NFL, however, stated that the dance is fine because it is not an overtly political statement.
After declining to ban the dance, the NFL added, “It’s up to the networks to cover them as they see fit.”
And edit it they have, as most networks cut away from the dance when they see the player about to start so as not to upset the liberal horde.
I think it is rather amusing that liberals have no problem with social justice messages being openly displayed, but someone does a five-second dance and they lose their minds.
