Clinton Insider Spills the Beans

Former campaign manager for Hillary Clinton Robby Mook will probably be going into something similar to witness protection, after what he had to say under oath. The liberal left were all gloating over the glimmers of hope Marc Elias gave them on Thursday, with his obviously one sided testimony at the Michael Sussmann trial. Then, Mook took the stand.

Hillary approved the leaks

Hillary Clinton personally “signed off on sharing debunked allegations linking Donald Trump and the Kremlin-backed Alfa Bank with the media in the run-up to the 2016 election,” DailyMail writes.

They say that after her campaign manager at the time, Robby Mook, testified to it. The first time he heard about Alfa Bank was when Clinton’s campaign lawyer, Marc Elias, told him.

When Mook heard the first whispers of Trump Russia collusion, he speed dialed the guy who’s now Joe Biden’s National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan.

He also called “campaign chairman John Podesta about whether to share the information with a reporter.” They decided that judgement call needed to come from her highness, so, “I discussed it with Hillary as well,” Mook testified.

They had a sneaky suspicion the material was fake even before they called Hillary into it. “He also admitted the campaign wasn’t ‘totally confident in the legitimacy of the data,’ but was hoping a reporter would follow it up and determine if it was ‘accurate‘ or ‘substantive.’

As long as someone with some credibility in the media thought it smelled okay, they could use it.

Authorize a leak

Mook couldn’t remember the word for word exchange. “I don’t remember the substance of the conversation, but notionally, the discussion was, hey, we have this and we want to share it with a reporter,” he told the jury. After kicking it around with Hillary, they “decided to share it with the reporter after the meeting.

Not any of them directly, of course. “I recall it being a member of our press staff,” Mook testifed. “We authorized a staff member to share it with the media.” The technical term for that is “leak.

The jury also got a peek at the hotly contested tweet which Hillary tapped out, bragging, “computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank.

She was really careful to say “apparently.” She linked on a “statement from Sullivan titled ‘exposing Trump’s Secret Line of Communication to Russia.

Because Michael Sussmann lied to him, Jim Baker “took the information seriously as a potential national security threat.” Another reason Baker took it seriously is because “Sussmann told him that the news media was intent on reporting on the data.

That, it turns out was approved by Hillary Clinton. The whole thing swallows it’s own tail. The ultimate perpetual motion machine.
