One of the big “buzz” topics since Barack Obama was in office is how family members are going to vote for a candidate.
The media seems to dig deep to find members who share the last name that will not support a given candidate.
This time around, it is Walz’s family members in Nebraska.
Not Our Guy
When Obama was in office, it was his half-brother.
When Trump was in office, it was his sister Mary who had been estranged from Trump for years.
This time around it is Walz’s distant relatives in Nebraska, but there is one interesting nugget in this, that being his brother.
A picture went viral online last week over a group of distant relatives of Tim Walz who were all wearing Trump shirts.
When Walz’s sister was asked about the photo, she responded, responded, “We weren’t close with them. We didn’t know them.”
While that picture was great clickbait, the quote I found far more interesting was that of Walz’s brother.
Jeff Walz stated, “The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.”
After that story broke, Jeff tried to walk back his comments, saying that he was not going to endorse either candidate, nor would be part of any campaign.
Even so, that is not exactly a ringing endorsement of Walz, especially when you see how the people of Minnesota are reacting to his candidacy.
By all accounts, Kamala made a big mistake adding Walz to her ticket.
