America’s established media outlets don’t like the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele. They don’t like Donald Trump either but they’re stuck with him. The same way Kilmar Ábrego García is stuck in CECOT. Handing him back is absurd, Bukele laughed. The administration set the media straight on the whole issue. While announcing another 10 criminals just got the same maximum security vacation behind bars in the tropical jungle.

El Salvador welcomes more

U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed the President of El Salvador to the White House on Monday, April 14. Nayib Bukele feels right at home in the Oval Office, where he got a warm welcome from Trump and a few of his cabinet members.

As BBC reports, “the pair appeared friendly as they spoke to reporters, often laughing and cracking jokes together.

BBC chuckles about the way their American colleagues are going frantic about Trump’s State Department policies. “The U.S. president has begun deporting Venezuelan immigrants to the notorious Cecot mega-prison in El Salvador, with Bukele’s backing.

Bukele, Trump praises, is “really helping out” by “facilitating these detentions.” The Salvadoran president insists his country is “very eager to help.

El Salvador will accept prisoners from anywhere. They don’t have to be deportees. Trump’s been checking into the political ins and outs of “sending U.S. citizens to the maximum-security prison in the future.

It’s tricky and lawyers are working out the pesky “technicalities” first.

Administrative error

When the question whether Trump was going to ask Buekele to return Kilmar Ábrego García, who the courts had been informed was sent there by mistake came up, Trump let Pam Bondi field the answer.

First of all, the only “administrative error” was what a liberal prosecutor, since fired, told the lower court judge. García is a citizen of El Salvador who had been living illegally in Maryland.

As the Attorney General explained, slowly and carefully for the liberal press, his fate is up to El Salvador. Bukele jumped in to say it’s out of his hands by now and even if he had the power he wouldn’t do it.

Handing him back is absurd, Bukele laughed.

The very thought is “preposterous.” He can’t “smuggle a terrorist in” to the U.S.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also weighed in on the controversy. “I don’t understand what the confusion is,” he declared.

Abrego Garcia is a citizen of El Salvador, who was “illegally in the United States who was returned to his country.” Not only that, “foreign policy of the United States is conducted by the president of the United States, not by a court.
