They Want to Defund the Police, Yet Here are the Numbers for Their PRIVATE Security

According to Federal Election Commission reports they’re some of “the biggest spenders on personal security.” Democrats Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and newest Squad member, Cori Bush are also among the most vocal advocates for defunding the police. They think they can get away with obviously hypocritical behavior and so far, they’re right.

Security but not law enforcement

The far-left is demanding “total elimination of federal law enforcement agencies.” Especially the ones that take away street drugs and deport cheap illegal workers. It would “initially apply only at the federal level but would ultimately affect state and local policing in these areas as well.” It seems they want security for themselves, they just don’t want anyone else to have any.

The squad members all stand firmly behind the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. It passed the House with flying colors but got stuck in the Senate. Uber-radical Pressley “has also sponsored the BREATHE Act, a bill supported by Black Lives Matter leaders, who believe the Floyd Act doesn’t go far enough.”

Another anarchist idea with full squad support is Pressley’s bill called the “Ending Qualified Immunity Act.” What that does is make it easier “for individuals to sue state and local officials, primarily police.”

Security around these liberals is tight as a drum while Pressley and Bush go around plugging their “People’s Response Act.” It’s not what it sounds like. Instead of vigilantes patrolling the streets, the response the liberals envision is social workers.

Replacing those racist and trigger happy pigs making arrests and shooting harmless criminals is a top priority. So, the Department of Health and Human Services can provide security based on “health-based alternatives.” They took $7.5 billion away from law enforcement to pass it out in the form of “grants to community-based organizations as alternatives to policing.”

The next time a naked, 400 pound, meth addict, high on spice, grabs a samurai sword and goes on a rampage, they’ll send a social unit out to talk to him.

Personal armies

While laying the progressive rhetoric down thick and fast, these radical liberals have assembled their own private armies of mercenary security forces.

In the case of Democrat New York lawmaker Jamaal Bowman, he gets “local police” to provide him with the same protection he would deny his conservative constituents.

For instance, in a two month stretch, Cori Bush dished out “nearly $70,000 of her campaign funds on personal security, the most of any House lawmaker.”

That’s about 20k more than her constituents make in a whole year and doesn’t go over real well with the folks at home. Especially when violent crime in her district of St. Louis and adjacent communities has gone through the roof.

Since the voters don’t have the money to hire their own guards, they’ll simply have to arm themselves and provide their own security and justice do-it-yourself style. Bush wants every single cop fired or worse.

She actually thinks that “defunding the police would prevent the deaths of people like Michael Brown and Breonna Taylor.” If you ask her who “would stop the killing that would then ensue?” She changes the subject.
