The Word is ‘Sedition’ Bill Barr Believes

Treason is a word which gets a little worn out, former Attorney General Bill Barr observes. A better term for what’s been uncovered by John Durham’s special investigation is “sedition.” That’s only because, under U.S. law, “treason” requires a war.

Sedition and grave injustice

Las Vegas may be full of fear and loathing but our nation’s capitol is infested by sedition and injustice. According to erstwhile Attorney General Bill Barr, the whole Obamagate spy scandal and plot to weaponizing the DOJ into framing Donald Trump for nonexistent “collusion” with the Russians was a “dirty trick.”

Not only that, behind the closed doors of the Federal Bureau of instigation, a whole lot of “seditious activity” was going on.

Everyone knows that Barr didn’t get along real well with the Deplorable in Chief but nobody doubts his loyalty to America and conservative values. He was shocked at the behavior of the people he was temporarily responsible for. The whole plot to cook up Russian collusion out of thin air infuriates him more every day.

Every time he turns on the news, testimony from the Sussmann trial ends up angering him. Whatever you think of Trump, he notes, sedition is wrong. The “fact is that the whole Russiagate thing was a grave injustice. It was a – it appears to be a dirty political trick that was used first to hobble him and then potentially to drive him from office.

Trump himself often calls the conspiracy against him “treason” but the law books say otherwise. It’s nit-picky, Barr understands. Technically, “treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

What Obama’s minions were up to in an attempt to help Hillary Clinton was “sedition.” That’s simply “conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.”

A punishment tied to it

I hate the word treason,” Barr explained, People only use it “because it’s the only thing in the Constitution and it has a punishment tied to it.” On the other hand, “I believe it is seditious.” Convincing the courts to see it that way, especially after everything below SCOTUS has been infested by liberals, is a different story.

He’s not holding his breath over anyone getting hanged for sedition. “Whether that can be proved in court as a crime is one issue. But I think people are now coming to see what actually happened.

The sedition has been under a microscope for over a week now, with the trial of Michael Sussmann finally in the hands of a jury. He’s accused of lying to the FBI in order to suck them into the Hillary Clinton Campaign plot against Trump. They were willing and eager to throw the rule book out the window, as long as it whacked Trump when it fell.

Sussmann had a level of influence at the bureau which news outlets have begun calling a “friends with benefits” relationship. If he told the FBI’s official lawyer he was there working for Hillary, the outcome would have been a whole lot different. He gave the Deep State exactly the plausible deniability they needed to take out an “insurance policy” against Donald Trump getting elected.

William Barr personally appointed John Durham to get to the bottom of the whole Russiagate fiasco. The sedition is now glaringly obvious. The FBI picks and chooses and manufactures just the evidence they need to fit a narrative and hide the rest.

The only thing the Defense could say on Sussmann’s behalf is that “opposition research is not illegal. If it were, the jails of Washington, DC, would be teeming over.
