Conservatives in Southlake, Texas held a full scale revolt and voted themselves into their local school board. They’re up in arms over the way educators tried to force “critical race theory” on their kids. They aren’t having anything to do with such nonsense.
Republican Revolt in Southlake
Left-leaning liberals started sniveling that “curriculum and disciplinary changes were needed to make all children feel safe and welcome” in the mostly White Carroll school district. Conservatives decided to revolt and told them where to stick it.
NBC whines that “conservatives in Southlake rejected the school diversity plan as an effort to indoctrinate students with a far-left ideology that, according to some, would institutionalize discrimination against white children and those with conservative Christian values.” That pretty much sums it up.
The way local lawyer Hannah Smith describes it, the revolt was massive. “The voters have come together in record-breaking numbers to restore unity. By a landslide vote, they don’t want racially divisive critical race theory taught to their children or forced on their teachers.”
The controversial lesson plans are described as “a very unbalanced, one-sided account” of slavery. One “which lacked context and perspective on the complexity” of the deeper issue, which was clearly and obviously, “not an exclusively American institution.” It’s existed throughout history.
The Republican revolt ended up producing a “roughly 70% to 30% margin to take two spots and control of the Carroll Independent School District board.” They also snagged two city council seats and replaced the Mayor.
The final count was tallied up by Sunday and it showed a “ballooning voter turnout about 3-times larger than past local elections.” It took a full nine months and a landslide vote to cancel what progressives did to the school board and ditch the diversity training.
A referendum on philosophies
As part of the critical race theory indoctrination left-wingers also required teachers and administrators to be re-educated with diversity training sessions and “anti-racism” courses. The parents were furious enough to revolt.
The way the press puts it, this election “was a referendum on those who put personal politics and divisive philosophies ahead of Carroll ISD students and families.”
His Wisdom Joe Biden is fully on board with the plots of progressive Democrats to push schools into adopting the Black Lives Matter approved curriculum which “teaches that inequality is a result of systemic racism.”
The New York Times came up with a scheme to re-write history they like to call the “1619 Project.” They caused the revolt by trying to get deplorable parents into accepting the false argument that “slavery continues to infect almost every institution in the United States, resulting in systemic racism against black Americans and other minorities.”
Actual historians who study factual history instead of the propaganda “have lodged numerous complaints about the ‘1619 Project,’ which claims the true founding of the U.S. should be marked at the moment the first slave ship arrived in America in 1619.”
There was this little bit of history where the country was actually settled by pilgrims who threw a revolt over religious freedom. That seems to be forgotten entirely because it doesn’t fit the Black repression narrative. The real goal of the propaganda is shaming everyone into handing out reparations.
