Rumors are starting to fly regarding the possible replacement of King Charles.
If you have noticed, Prince William is already taking on a larger role in terms of royal duties.
This has led to speculation that William may be getting fast-tracked for the crown.
Health Issues
Charles had to be furious inside that it took nearly his entire life to get on the throne.
While his mother held the crown for seven decades, Charles, at 76, and with health issues, may not even make it a decade.
If you recall, Charles had to go in for a prostate procedure last year, which is when he was diagnosed with cancer (but they said it was not prostate cancer).
Charles has been undergoing treatments for about a year now, and while the reports are that he is responding well, at his age, you just never know.
In the meantime. William has been absorbing many of the royal duties associated with the king, which is what led to this speculation that he is being fast-tracked for the crown.
William, however, has had his own scare, in the form of Princess Kate also having been diagnosed with cancer.
She, too, has responded well to the treatments, and she is finally out and about making appearances again.
I will go out on a limb and say that I doubt Charles will be wearing the crown much longer, which would put William in much the same role as his grandmother found herself.
He will not be quite as young as Elizabeth when she took over, but I am pretty sure that once William does take the crown, he will hold it for decades.
