Pretty close to half of United States Marines are not listening to the Democrat propaganda. CNN got their hands on the first report to be issued by a branch of the service on Friday. The report listing figures related to Covid-19 vaccine acceptance and rejection indicates about 40% of the USMC said they’ll pass.

Marines not drinking the Kool-Aid

CNN has been trying to get the various branches of the military to tell them their Covid-19 vaccine compliance statistics so that they can back up earlier reporting they did which claimed that around half of service members won’t be getting the shots.

The first report shows that numbers from the Marines aren’t far out of line from that, but it’s still low enough that the Pentagon can similarly claim near success on expectations.

Data released to the liberal news outlet confirms that world-wide, “approximately 75,500 Marines have received vaccines,” while about 48,000 “have chosen not to, for a declination rate of 38.9%.”

Inverting the numbers also means that the “corresponding acceptance rate for vaccinations” works out to 61.1% which isn’t that far off from “the military estimate of two-thirds, or about 66%.”

According to sources, there are another 102,000 Marines not counted in the statistics because they have not yet been offered the vaccines.

The report notes they do include active-duty, reserves and Individual Mobilization Augmentee Marine units.

Camp Lejune scores higher

The data also shows a cluster around Camp Lejune where Marines seem to be declining the vaccine more than others. The North Carolina base turned in numbers showing that a full 57% have said no thank you. That’s not the answer they were hoping for. The pentagon needs higher numbers than that if they want to see herd immunity.

As Marine Corps spokeswoman Col. Kelly Frushour explains in a statement, “”We fully understand that widespread acceptance of the Covid-19 vaccine provides us with the best means to defeat the pandemic. The key to addressing the pandemic is building vaccine confidence.”

Right now, Marines don’t have as much confidence in the serum as they hoped for. It might not even matter because the virus is already mutating into new and improved strains which the vaccine won’t be effective against. The brass is still trying to downplay the statistics, citing a number of valid reasons to decline the shots.

That’s why they allow people to change their mind if they decide they want one later. “Service members who decline one day can change their mind and become vaccinated when next the opportunity presents itself.”

The biggest problem, liberals whine, is that the military “cannot make the vaccines mandatory now because they have only emergency use authorizations from the Food and Drug Administration.”

They want to force every military member to get one, even if they are allergic to it. Meanwhile, nervous Marines have been questioning “the speed at which the vaccines were developed and fears over long-term effects.” They don’t want to be volunteering for a dose of Modern “Orange Crush” or something.
