One In Three: American Patriots See Need to Take Up Arms

Now might just be the right time to take up arms against our government, one in every three Americans say. Those are the patriotic ones. The University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics took a poll recently and were alarmed at what they found. Joe Biden’s poll numbers are breaking new low records, too.

Patriots up in arms

A majority of Americans, the University of Chicago proclaims, “say the U.S. government is corrupt.” Even Democrats are starting to complain about it. Also, “almost a third say it may soon be necessary to take up arms.

The left-leaning Institute of Politics put out a report spilling details like “two-thirds of Republicans and independents say the government is ‘corrupt and rigged against everyday people like me.” More surprising is the 51 percent of liberal voters who said the same thing.

Getting to the part that local gun shops want to hear, “twenty-eight percent of all voters, including 37 percent of gun owners, agreed ‘it may be necessary at some point soon for citizens to take up arms against the government.

Republicans and Independents are equally matched in that view at “around 35 percent” for each. Democrats are down around 20 percent for that question. The fact that even one in five liberals are ready to pack heat against a heavy handed administration is a wake up call for progressives.

Nancy Pelosi’s hand picked kangaroo court is finally done taking up prime-time airwaves with their partisan nonsense. The liberals who bothered to tune in are convinced Donald Trump is about to be hauled away in chains. Everyone else simply tuned out and ignored it.

The Hill seems to be upset that “despite the hearings, Trump still enjoys broad support among Republicans, who are more concerned about inflation, education and crime than they are about January 6.” Those are the ones supporting the right to bear arms because they’re personally convinced the whole barbarian invasion was staged on “Q” by the FBI.

Stocking up on the ammo

If Donald Trump didn’t have a legal leg to stand on by suggesting that Mike Pence had authority to question the election results under an obscure provision, Democrats wouldn’t be scrambling right now to get the law changed before it happens again.

The next time, the Vice President might understand how it’s supposed to work and actually do it. Not that there is any danger of Kamala Harris exercising an option like that but who knows who might try that again in the future? Citizens who prefer to bear arms are stocking up on the ammo.

A dismal 56 percent of Americans are convinced that “elections are fair and accurate.” When you split it out, “that number falls to 33 percent among Republicans.” No wonder they’re taking up arms in self-defense.

The division between conservatives and liberals across the country is only growing, the poll shows, and a quarter of Americans say they have lost friends over politics.” A civil war is brewing.

It can’t be a good sign that an equal 70 percent of Republicans and Democrats both agree the other side “are generally bullies who want to impose their political beliefs on those who disagree.” Give them guns and let them solve the issues with force of arms in the mall food court.

They also look at each other to point the finger in a mirror. “Half of all Americans believe the other side is misinformed about politics because of where they get their information and news.” What really throws them is when conservative writers use liberal sources against them in the court of public opinion.
