Bronx, New York, beauty salon owner Itesha Hairston is ready to feed her repeat apartment intruder to a pair of vicious pit bulls. That’s the only way she has of defending herself, since the city’s liberal judges flatly refuse to put criminals in jail. Even armed, dangerous and “mentally unhinged ones.” If she was to shoot Jarrell Coburn, she would be the one in prison. That’s how she ended up with two dogs.

New York anarchy

New York City voters continue to put liberal progressives into positions of power, even though they take their lives in their hands every day. The streets and subways are dangerous enough but 47-year-old beauty salon owner Itesha Hairston has been repeatedly terrorized in her own home.

Apparently, Jarrell Coburn, age 33, believes it’s his home, too. It isn’t. Police keep telling him so as they arrest him but he won’t take that for a final answer.

Hairston isn’t happy that the vagrant who “broke into her home three times in under 10 days last month” keeps getting “a slap on the wrist due to a soft-on-crime court system that won’t lock him up.” He currently has “at least nine unsealed busts on his rap sheet.

New York can’t say how many sealed ones. The latest break-in occurred April 9. Hairston is seriously regretting her ground-floor apartment in the Longwood section of Bronx.

Coburn is obviously deranged. “He really thinks this is his apartment,” she told reporters. “He really thinks he lives here. This guy is very, very dangerous. He just won’t stop. The guy won’t stop. I don’t know this guy from anywhere.” New York used to have law enforcement. Back in the good old days when America was great.

Something’s really wrong with this dude,” she added. “That’s why I got my sister’s dogs. The law won’t do anything to protect me. I’ve got to be protected somehow.

Assault on cops

Coburn is well known to the boys at the precinct. He’s a regualar customer who’s claims to fame include charges “that he assaulted and spat on” New York cops. He also happens to have “five open cases in the Bronx, including three for allegedly breaking into Hairston’s apartment.” On March 21, the Bronx woman’s nightmare began.

She was upstairs in a neighbor’s apartment, heard loud banging from below — and dashed down only to come face to face with Coburn.” Who was heavily armed.

So I run downstairs and he runs out of the building but before he ran out of the building, he pulled a gun on me.” Nobody in New York would stick around long after that. “So I run back upstairs and he runs out of the building and I called the cops.

The Bronx District Attorney asked him to be held on bail.

The next time he broke in she was at her friend’s apartment. He trashed her place by “running her sink until it flooded the boiler room below.” The landlord wasn’t happy.

The Bronx District Attorney asked him to be held on bail but the judge said he couldn’t do it on the charges filed so released him for free. She got a restraining order. Not that it actually matters. Two days later, he was back. “I unlock my door and there he is,” she recalled. “He goes, ‘Get the f–k out of here! This is my apartment,‘ and slammed the door. He almost cut my fingers off.

She called the cops and New York City’s finest did their best. “I just ran and I called the cops and they blocked every exit that he could run out of and had to knock the door down to get him and arrest him.” The judge let him out again on March 31.
