GOP House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy says the FBI is stonewalling the investigation into Rep. Eric Swalwell’s ties to a Chinese spy. McCarthy claims he asked the FBI for a briefing about the investigation twice and the agency canceled on him both times. It’s time for some serious house cleaning in the FBI.

House Rep. McCarthy blasts the FBI

Republicans are demanding Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-CA., answer questions about his relationship with a Chinese spy named Christine Fang, or Fang Fang, which lasted from 2011 to 2015. The Chinese spy targeted Swalwell, as well as other politicians in the US, as a part of a political intelligence operation.

Fang met Swalwell while he was a council member for Dublin City, California. She was a Chinese student organizer and later became a part of his campaign staff. Fang’s behavior was so suspicious that the FBI briefed Swalwell about her in 2015. After the briefing, Swalwell cut ties with Fang and she unexpectedly returned to China.

So far, Swalwell has dodged questions about Fang and he refuses to say whether or not they had an intimate relationship. Then he pulled the typical Lefty move and blamed President Trump for the story. “The wrongdoing here, Jim, is that at the same time this story was being leaked out is the time that I was working on impeachment on the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees,” he told CNN last week.

GOP demands answers from Pelosi

Pressure is also mounting on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to address the FBI investigation. On Tuesday, House Republicans sent a letter to Pelosi asking her to remove Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee. Pelosi said she has no concerns about Swalwell, a Democrat Congressman who was dating a Chinese spy for several years. But she impeached Trump over a phone call. These Democrats can’t be trusted.
