The brother of Ghislaine Maxwell says her cat got better treatment at the shelter before she rescued it than she’s getting now. The conditions she’s forced to endure are “grotesque.” The jet set socialite pedophile’s conditions amount to torture.
Ghislaine isn’t guilty – yet
On Wednesday, 64-year-old Ian Maxwell, brother of Ghislaine Maxwell, complained that “no human being should have to go through what she’s been put through. It is really degrading.” He reminds America that “this is not the way that a democratic country should be running its prison system.”
The Metropolitan Detention Center does not get a single Michelin star. “It’s grotesque and in that respect it amounts to torture.” At least she’s not in a Turkish prison.
According to the lawyers representing Ghislaine, she is “being abused by jail guards, while being fed inedible food and brown water.” It caused her so much stress her hair is falling out.
Ian is “worried about Ghislaine’s capacity to endure much more of this treatment.” After all, she is “presumed innocent.” The press reporting is nothing but fantasy he insists, and “way out of what is correct about her as a human being and about the case generally.”
Prosecutors aren’t helping things any. The family has old money and they hang around with the Rothschilds so cash isn’t a problem. Nobody can send out the witness intimidation and removal experts without the details.
Ian Maxwell “attacked prosecutors for revealing so little about the case against his sister, including the identities of the three accusers.” They won’t even tell Ghislaine “the time and dates of the alleged offenses.” Prosecutors think if she knew that then she would be able to figure out the identities.
250 days and counting
So far, Ghislaine has been in the cooler for “nearly 250 days, and counting.” Not only that the special treatment she gets isn’t anything like they would have given John Gotti if he was their guest.
“She is in effective isolation in a cell that measures 6 feet by 9 feet and which includes a concrete bed and a toilet. There is no natural light. She is under 24-hour, round-the-clock surveillance with 10 cameras including one that moves and tracks her movements. That is her existence. Every day.” Boo hoo.
“The water that is provided through the prison is brown, and the food that she’s given is very highly microwaved and basically inedible.”
The 59-year-old woman is “losing her hair, and she’s also having trouble with her eyesight and her ability to concentrate because this is a tremendous pressure to be under.” Even So, Ghislaine “is resolute. She’s strong in her spirit and undaunted, but obviously this is very, very wearing physically.”
The biggest problem is all the extra security. Her brother calls the measures a “grotesque overreaction” to the fallout from Jeffrey Epstein killing himself. “Ghislaine is not a suicide risk. She has never been a suicide risk. She is being completely over-managed.” Lots of people who didn’t feel suicidal ended up dead, especially ones with dirt on the Clintons.
Jeffrey wasn’t particularly suicidal the night he died either, his girlfriend swears. So do his lawyers. The real life “Quincy,” Cyril Wecht, says there is no way that his hyoid bone was broken the way the official reports say it was.
She’s stuck under the watchful eye of 10 different cameras 24/7 covering all angles because she can’t get bail. Not even with $28.5 million. Ghislaine is a flight risk. Cameras shouldn’t bother her any, Her and Jeffrey Epstein had cameras everywhere
Her brother disagrees. “She’s not in the business of running away from anybody,” he said, also stressing that her finances are controlled so that she “can’t just take some large amount of money and disappear.” Not unless a family friend hands her a suitcase with a couple million in it, which could easily happen.
