The Biden-Harris regime repeatedly refuses to acknowledge the growing illegal immigrant crisis at our southern border. Press Secretary Jen Psaki refuses to address it, Biden himself refuses to answer questions about it, and now Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas has also refused to admit there is a crisis. This is the straw that broke the camels’ back it would seem as 23 House Republicans have penned a letter to DHS Secretary demanding answers on border crossings. Specifically they want to know the rate of COVID infection among the illegals.

At Thursday’s daily Whitehouse Press Conference Jen Psaki was asked by a reporter: why they Biden admin wouldn’t call the situation at the border a ‘crisis’ when you have over 3,700 children in Border Patrol custody spending on average 100 hours or four days in facilities that are “jail-like” and “not meant for children”? Jen Psaki answered haltingly and defensively,

“It doesn’t matter what you call it. It is an enormous challenge. It is something that is front and center for the President as we.. I noted yesterday: He had what is a regular meeting, but he had a briefing yesterday on the trip to the border and there are a number of …well there are no final policy decisions.”

Psaki concluded with a list of hypothetical solutions saying,

“So our focus here is on getting to the root of the issues and taking actions. And we don’t feel the need to you know play games with what it’s called.”

Republicans In Congress Pounce As Biden Refuses to Admit It

Republicans in the Senate led by Senators Cruz and Hawley have soundly admonished the Biden-Harris Whitehouse for their baffling refusal to refer to the border crisis as a crisis. Most likely because this is a self-inflicted wound to the Democrats, in Biden’s irrational zeal to reverse every Trump initiative and push for his 100-Day moratorium on all deportations he himself triggered the surge of illegal immigrants at the border.

The New York Post reports,

“In separate tweets responding to the same report that Customs and Border Protection would be shutting down three highway checkpoints in Arizona due to a need for increased border personnel, Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) slammed the administration’s handling of immigration matters.

“How much more will it take for the Biden administration to admit there is a crisis on the border?” Cruz asked.

“The border is approaching full-blown crisis, and the Biden Admin’s response is … nothing,” Hawley added.”
