The latest tactic of border state Republican governors seems to be driving Democrats totally crazy. At the first taste of their own medicine they started gagging. Since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris refused to see first hand what sort of security crisis America has at the border, Texas Governor Greg Abbott decided to send the problem to them. By the busload. Arizona’s Doug Ducey joined the effort a month later. Sanctuary state shelters are already overwhelmed and overflowing.
Democrats insecure about migrants
I’m going to “take the border” to Biden, Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared in April. “Great idea,” echoed Doug Ducey in Arizona a month later. Let the Democrats deal with the invading horde of illegal aliens. They offer every lawbreaker who swims or crawls across their border a free ride to Washington.
The District has been directing as many as they can to get back on another bus, for a quick trip to New York. The latest stats say “4,000 migrants have arrived in buses from border states to DC, and 2,800 have arrived in New York City.” Sanctuary relief efforts are at the bursting point.
According to Governor Abbott, “Biden will be able to immediately meet the needs of migrants he is allowing to cross our border.” Texas, he promises, will keep Texans safe. Let the federal government bear the effects of unchecked immigration. Thanks to Democrats, border security is a joke.
“The Biden Administration’s failed efforts to secure the border are appalling. By busing migrants to Washington, D.C., Texas is sending a clear message: we should not have to bear the burden of the federal government’s inaction to secure the border, and the Lone Star State will do whatever it takes to keep Texans safe.”
In Arizona, Ducey tucked his declaration into a press release on another subject, but mentioned how humanitarian his state will be.
“With Arizona community resources under all-time demand, and little action or assistance from the federal government, individuals who entered Arizona seeking asylum have the opportunity to voluntarily be transported to Washington, D.C. The transportation will include meals, and onboard staffing and support.” Democrats don’t know what to do with the migrants when they get off the bus. Migrants are griping that they don’t even have anyone passing out water bottles.
The flood grows daily
Back in April, Texas was shipping about half a bus load a day. Now that migrants are crossing in record numbers “officials say between three and five bus loads of migrants have been arriving each day from the southern border to DC’s Union Station.” Democrats have no idea what to do with them.
“Faced with an influx of illegal immigrants straining their city’s resources, the mayors of Washington, D.C, and New York City are turning to the federal government for help.” They aren’t getting any.
Last week, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser yelled for National Guard help. They’re pondering it. “The number of people crossing the border seeking asylum we expect to only go up and we need to make sure that there is a national response, not an ad hoc city by city, state by state response,” Bowser complained.
She wants one of those pallets of cash airlifted in like Democrats whip up all the time for the Ayatollah. Why won’t anyone answer the phone at Open Societies Foundation anymore?
New York City Mayor Eric Adams doesn’t appreciate the “dump” of illegal aliens on his doorstep but admits the taxpayers are liberal and want to have a sanctuary city. The law is clear and he has a job to do. He sent each and every immigrant who wouldn’t fit in a shelter off to a hotel.
Then, he sent the bill to Joe Biden. He’s the one who ordered them delivered here, right? Democrats still can’t figure out which side he’s on. Meanwhile, Governor Abbott invited both Mayors to come down and visit to see first hand what the real border security crisis looks like, now that they’re overwhelmed by a tiny little piece of it.
