In preparation for the invasion about to hit our southern border with the expiration of Donald Trump’s Title 42 policy, CBP is begging agents from all over the country to volunteer. They need all the help they can get to assist with the expected surge “in illegal immigration.”
Border agents needed
Just the News managed to get their hands on a copy of a memo put out by the Customs and Border Patrol Agency’s Office of Field Operations.
It says they’re “anticipating increased operational tempo along the SWB, necessitating additional resources to assist with processing, facilitation, and enforcement, as well as to limit operational disruptions.” That translates to an “invasion.”
The idea won’t be to hold them off or turn them around. All these agents are needed on the border to make processing them into America flow smoothly. Time is of the essence because they’re expecting the mass migration event to begin “as early as next week.”
They’re looking for “supervisory and non-supervisory CBP officers” to staff southern ports of entry “for up to 60 days, with the possibility to extend. The anticipated start date for this assignment is April 5, 2022, with expected travel on April 4, 2022.”
Under former President Donald Trump, a public health statute from the 1940s, called Title 42, gave the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “authority to determine whether a communicable disease in a foreign country poses a serious threat of spreading in the U.S. through people entering the country.”
It was used to turn back about half the incoming immigrants constantly flooding across the border.
Long hours and overtime
Agents looking to make some extra cash are encouraged to sign up for border invasion duty. As spelled out in the memo, “irregular shifts and schedules, including holidays and weekends” are part of the deal. “Overtime may be authorized as necessary.”
That means, expect to work as many hours as you can keep your eyes open. Since Trump signed the measure into effect in March of 2020, more than 1.7 million illegal immigrants have been deported under it.
Radically progressive Democrats like Chuck Schumer can’t wait to see Title 42 bite the dust. “While we recognize that the administration made the right choice to prevent unaccompanied children from being expelled, it is wrong that they made the decision to continue sending families with minor children back to persecution and torture.”
The border should be wide open for any terrorist to cross, they insist. After all, we have one big happy world government now.
Conservatives don’t see such a rosy picture. As Ohio lawmaker Jim Jordan tweeted, “Democrats want to end Title 42 at the southern border. It’s one of our last lines of defense against illegal immigration. If they nix the program now, expect immediate chaos.” On Thursday, Democrat Senator Kyrsten Sinema sent a nastygram to Joe Biden and got temporary Arizona Senator Mark Kelly to sign it too.
“We write to you to express great concern about the lack of a specific plan from your administration,” they begin. “Given the impacts that changes to Title 42 could have on border communities, border security, and migrants, we urge your Administration not to make any changes to Title 42 implementation until you are completely ready to execute and coordinate a comprehensive plan that ensures a secure, orderly, and humane process at the border.“
