BOMBSHELL AG Barr Announcement

AG William Barr has fired back against misinformation and lies surrounding investigations into the voter fraud perpetrated during the 2020 election.

As usual, the mainstream media is taking a Republican’s statements out of context. Discussing the 2020 election, AG Barr stated: “We have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.”

That comment was quickly re-written to push the left-wing agenda, with news outlets reporting that the DOJ investigation had concluded and found no evidence of voter fraud.

AG Barr was not about to let his comments be misconstrued. The DOJ issued a statement through a spokesperson, which read: “Some media outlets have incorrectly reported that the Department has concluded its investigation of election fraud and announced an affirmative finding of no fraud in the election. That is not what the Associated Press reported nor what the Attorney General stated. The Department will continue to receive and vigorously pursue all specific and credible allegations of fraud as expeditiously as possible.”

CBS News’ Catherine Herridge shared the quote on Twitter:

The article by the Associated Press which reported on Barr’s original comments was published on Tuesday. The article read:

“Barr told the AP that U.S. attorneys and FBI agents have been working to follow up specific complaints and information they’ve received, but “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.”

The comments, which drew immediate criticism from Trump attorneys, were especially notable coming from Barr, who has been one of the president’s most ardent allies. Before the election, he had repeatedly raised the notion that mail-in voting could be especially vulnerable to fraud during the coronavirus pandemic as Americans feared going to polls and instead chose to vote by mail.”

Other comments by AG Barr were also included in the AP’s article. In one of his statements, Barr said: “There’s been one assertion that would be systemic fraud and that would be the claim that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results. And the DHS and DOJ have looked into that, and so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that.”

“Most claims of fraud are very particularized to a particular set of circumstances or actors or conduct. … And those have been run down; they are being run down. Some have been broad and potentially cover a few thousand votes. They have been followed up on,” Barr continued.

In an obvious attempt to push their narrative, the mainstream media ignored phrases such as “so far” and “they are being run down,” which clearly indicate that the investigation is still ongoing.

Trump Team Response

Trump campaign Attorney Rudy Giuliani fired back at AG Barr over his comments on voter fraud, saying, “There hasn’t been any semblance of a Department of Justice investigation. We have gathered ample evidence of illegal voting in at least six states, which they have not examined.”

“We have many witnesses swearing under oath they saw crimes being committed in connection with voter fraud. As far as we know, not a single one has been interviewed by the DOJ. The Justice Department also hasn’t audited any voting machines or used their subpoena powers to determine the truth,” Giuliani continued.

“Again, with the greatest respect to the Attorney General, his opinion appears to be without any knowledge or investigation of the substantial irregularities and evidence of systemic fraud,” the Trump campaign’s legal team added.

Investigations

Following the 2020 election, AG Barr authorized federal prosecutors to pursue any “substantial allegations” of voting irregularities “if there are clear and apparently-credible allegations of irregularities that, if true, could potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State.”

Many conservatives are concerned that Giuliani is right, and the Department of Justice isn’t actually investigating these allegations. Without proper investigation and a definitive answer on questions of voter fraud and irregularities, how can the American people be confident in the integrity of U.S. elections?
