Holiday weekends are always interesting in our big cities.
This holiday weekend was no different, with a mass shooting taking place on a public train.
According to reports, four people were killed in the shootings, but police do have someone in custody.
Terror on Labor Day
The Windy City was on lockdown during the Democrat National Convention, so you just knew that once the big police presence left the city, all hell was going to break loose.
That happened at the Forest Park train station in Cook County this weekend, which, according to its mayor, has suddenly become a hot spot for criminal activity.
Forest Park Mayor Rory Hoskins stated, “It’s a horrible tragedy that four people are dead on Labor Day weekend.
“Our police department and our fire department respond to this location probably more than any other location in our jurisdiction.”
Local police stated that the shooter opened up, with three people being declared dead at the scene, and one dying later at a local hospital.
However, they were able to track down the alleged shooter and arrest him on a different train line later in the day.
Forest Park Police Department Deputy Chief Chris Chin stated, “A weapon was recovered.
“There is no immediate threat. This appears to be an isolated incident on this unfortunate day.”
The Chicago Transportation Authority (CTA) also commented, stating, “This heinous and egregious act of violence should never have occurred, nonetheless on a public transit train.”
There is crime in every city in this country, but nothing like what we see in our major cities, the overwhelming majority of which are run by Democrats.
They want to blame crime and shootings on the Second Amendment, but it is Democrat policies that are actually to blame.
