After seeing JD Vance perform at that debate, it is pretty clear that he can handle himself.
If there was any doubt about that, he proved it again on social media.
When an MSNBC host tried to go after something Vance was clearly joking about with his kids, Vance and everyone else shut it right down.
Don’t Be Silly
This all got started because Vance was making a local appearance at a grocery store to discuss the high prices of groceries.
As he was speaking, one of his boys reached up for a carton of eggs, which led to Vance stating, “Yes, buddy. Want some eggs? Let’s talk about eggs. Because these guys actually eat about 14 eggs every single morning. Is that right?”
Now, no normal person would believe the comment was not made in jest, right? Two young boys are not going to put down 14 eggs a day.
Yet, the trolls went after him, with one liberal influencer asking if Vance “even know his children, or is he just making up more stories…”
Ruhle reposted, and added, “14 eggs per day. 98 eggs per week. 2 children consuming 8+ dozen eggs per week.”
Vance fired right back, “One time I said I was so tired I could sleep for days. Stephanie Ruhle: Vance, in fact, only slept for 8 hours.”
And that opened the floodgates.
CNN commentator Scott Jennings added, “Vance: ‘I’m so hungry I could eat a horse!’ Ruhle: ‘TONIGHT, we talk to PETA to get to the bottom of this Republican-led equine eating catastrophe.’”
RealClearInvestigations Mark Heminway added, “Tim Walz lied about his military service and no can say for sure whether Harris worked at a McDonalds, but they’ll fact check the most obvious hyperbole imaginable.”
This is what I talk about when I say they hold Republicans and Democrats to two different standards.
It is a “thing” when Vance says his kids eat 14 eggs a day, but Joe Biden and Harris dish out lie after lie, and nobody says a word.
And how come nobody has asked Harris a single question about her husband allegedly beating a woman in public?
That would be because we have state-run media!
