Since Hunter Biden hasn’t been in the news for a few days, DailyMail decided to let everyone know that they discovered how much easy money he made while warming a chair at a Ukrainian gas company. It turns out to be around $11 million over a five-year span.
Hunter cashed in big
Hunter Biden and his business interests “raked in $11 million over a matter of five years from his work as an attorney and a board member of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma and his work with a Chinese businessman now accused of fraud,” DailyMail writes.
That’s important because it raises national security questions. Then there is the specter of corruption and maybe even some legal issues.
One thing is certain. Hunter Biden was doing shady work for lucrative and powerful energy firms “despite no experience in the field.” Reports also indicate that the young playboy “blew through the money even faster than it was coming in.”
According to the facts and figures lifted from his notorious laptop, Joe Biden’s offspring “was spending an eye-popping $200,000 per month on things like luxury hotel rooms, Porsche payments, dental work and cash withdrawals.”
That spending spree coincides with his divorce filing in February 2017 and stretched through to October of 2018. The lawyer for Hunter Biden’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, called “the couple’s outstanding debts ‘shocking and overwhelming‘ and divulged that they owed $313,000 in back taxes.”
At the time, “the couple had bounced checks to their housekeeper and owed money to doctors and therapists.”
Burisma bankrolled his habit
Hunter came right out and admitted in his book “Beautiful Things” that “Burisma money bankrolled his bad habits.” He could buy a whole lot of coke with that cash, so he did.
The “extra cash turned into a major enabler during my steepest skid into addiction and hounded me to spend recklessly, dangerously, destructively. Humiliatingly. So I did.”
A report freshly released last week reveals that “Hunter Biden hired Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris to help him pay off a $2 million tax bill.”
That raises eyebrows because it’s “more than double what was previously reported.” It’s also part of why he’s being probed for tax fraud.
Separately, a report put out by the Senate in September of 2020 “revealed that Hunter Biden raked in $6 million over nine months from his Chinese business dealings.”
That includes “a $5m payment from a Chinese energy company with ties to the Communist party and $1m for work with an associate who was later jailed for bribery.” Senators Charles Grassley and Ron Johnson are still digging into that one.
