According to Katherine Kersten, a senior policy fellow at the American Experiment, the liberal left hijacked the education system to indoctrinate students in a plot to “disrupt” and “dismantle” American institutions.
A liberal plot for control
When sociologists talk about institutions, they mean things like nuclear family, religion, and culture. As well as the institutions of learning themselves. When asked on Fox about why the left keeps accelerating their agenda inside the classroom and how they manage to get away with it, Kersten attributes it to a new focus.
“I think the left is trying to shift the focus in a way.” In Minnesota, for instance, educators plot to “put ethnic studies ‘front and center‘ in their social studies classes.” The reason why is because “it will teach students to resist American institutions.”
While “ethnic studies” sounds harmless enough, the lesson plans are disturbing. “What ethnic studies is about, is essentially, teaching kids to disrupt, dismantle, and transform America’s fundamental institutions. They use the word ‘resistance‘ all the time.”
Back to 1915
The thing which makes it a plot is purpose. “One of the most important things is that this was intentional, that they knew what they were doing.” It’s been festering behind the scenes for a long while.
“They actually wrote about it in The New Republic, and there was a debate going back and forth between various progressives at the time. And they said, if we’re going to control the political means of this country, we have to control the education system.” This particular Deep State plot has been brewing since all the way back in 1915 “but then it unfolded over the course.”
Other big parts of the scheme are critical race theory and gender ideology. Some teachers are actually going so far as to manipulate “kids to keep secrets from their parents.” The Biden administration is fully behind all this “action civics.”
The liberal progressives have what amounts to a plot to brainwash every toddler into a carbonless copy of Greta Thunberg. Social Studies today is “action civics.” Democrats are “training kids to be a new generation of liberal activists like environmentalist Greta Thunberg.“
