Her name is Lilit Vanetsyan. She strode to the microphone wearing a “Make Education Great Again” tee-shirt, which surely irked the Loudoun County School Board members and perhaps gave them some warning of the rhetorical lashing they were about to suffer at the hands of this Fairfax County teacher. She tore apart the ‘woke’ narrative of modern public education, the disgusting lies of critical race theory, and excoriated the left’s indoctrination of America’s children. It was beautiful.

A Teacher Standing Against Youth Indoctrination

Lilit laid into the school board, wasting no time:

“I’m a Fairfax County Public School teacher and I am going to give a message of encouragement to parents and teachers of students who are too afraid to come to speak forth. Parents, the longer that you wait and you don’t hold your child’s schools accountable gives these guys (gesturing to the school board) more time to dictate what’s best for your child’s physical, emotional, and mental health.

Don’t be afraid to speak out for your kids because they are voiceless and they rely on you. You should be afraid of them rooting for socialism by the time they get to middle school.

Teachers, it may seem that our careers have come to a dead-end but I am here to remind you that we don’t work for the school board, we work to mold the next generation of well-rounded American patriots. So don’t give up because it is up to us.

Students, you are on the frontlines of these indoctrination camps. Challenge the staff when you are presented with a ludicrous statement and do not allow anybody to tell you that you can not accomplish anything because of your skin color or to hate yourself because of your skin color.

Students, it is up to you to be the next generation of victors or victims.

And, finally, to the board, this isn’t over. And  your policies are [they cut her mic here] just as pathetic as making us wear masks in the classroom.”

The proud, American patriot turned on her heel and strode away from the podium chin up, head held high to cheers, excited hand waving, and applause from the parents in attendance as the exasperated administrators called the next speaker to the rostrum.

What Is Happening in Fairfax County?

Breitbart has reported that the Loudoun County School Board has found itself in hot water and subject to a massive recall effort following the suspension of gym teacher Bryon “Tanner” Cross. Cross “was suspended after speaking at a Loudoun County School Board meeting, in which he cited science and Christianity when opposing a policy that requires teachers to agree with children’s claim that they are members of the opposite sex.”

Wait, it gets better. Just last week the interim Superintendent Scott A. Siegler (wonder what happened to the previous one…) tried to play off that the county is “not teaching critical race theory,” but is instead two years progressed into what he calls “racial equity education” which he admitted uses “common vocabulary” to critical race theory. Yup, they actually believe parents are that stupid.

On June 8th, a Virginia Judge ordered the Gym teacher, Mr. Cross, to be reinstated. A grassroots organization called “Fight for Schools” founder Ian Prior told reporter Alana Mastrangelo,

“We collected 1,500 signatures our first day, and we were grinding along collecting signatures at a pretty good rate, but when they suspended Tanner Cross for exercising his First Amendment rights at the school board meeting, the floodgates opened,”. The group has also drafted a “parents Bill of Rights” and are calling on the Board to scrap their “critical race theory agenda”.

On their website “Fight For Schools” explains why they fight.

“Schools across the country remain only partially open, students are suffering from hopelessness and despair, and special needs children are falling through the cracks. Instead of focusing on plans to fix these problems, school boards and school administrations are spending millions to implement critical race theory concepts in our schools.

Critical race theory holds that American institutions, language, culture, meritocracy, and liberal system of government are systemically racist and must be fundamentally altered.

In our schools, these changes are implemented in two ways. At the system level, merit-based achievement and admissions are being stifled in order to bring high achieving students back to the pack in the name of “equity.” Then, in staff trainings and the classroom, teachers, and students are pressured to see everything through the lens of race and to treat individuals as part of a socially constructed demographic, rather than as unique individuals.

Simply put, our schools are teaching children to judge people NOT by the content of their character, but by the color of their skin.

Fight for Schools is a non-partisan political action committee focused on electing common-sense candidates that commit to policies that support equal opportunity, tolerance, meritocracy, and achievement.

Help support our cause to take back America’s schools.”

This absolute icon among educators, this hero of the chalkboard, was identified by Breitbart News. And according to RealClearPolitics, in addition to being a teacher herself, Vanetsyan is a mother with children attending Loudoun County Schools.

We need more courageous teachers like her to rise up and stand for our students just as she calls upon them to stand for themselves.
