If you are reading our reports regularly, you know that North Carolina is a major piece of the puzzle for Trump.
The easiest path for Trump to get to 270 makes North Carolina and Georgia “must-win” states for him.
Well, Harris just handed Trump North Carolina on a silver platter, reportedly canceling about $2 million in ad buys.
Moving On
One week out from the election, and the most recent polling shows Trump with about a three-point lead in North Carolina.
Harris apparently thinks that is just too much to make up in such a short period, so her ads were pulled.
Now, her campaign is flush with cash, so this is not about the money, but more than likely about pulling all resources in other states where she knows she has a better chance to block Trump.
With New Hampshire now in play for Trump, those four electoral votes are a huge problem for Harris.
If she takes New Hampshire, as is expected, she would “only” need to sweep the Blue Wall states of MI, PA, and WI. If all else goes as expected, that would put her right on 270.
If Harris loses New Hampshire, this means she has to win Georgia, Nevada, or Arizona to get there. And she will need to win multiple states if she cannot sweep the Blue Wall.
In the latest polling for the Blue Wall states, Trump holds a one-point lead in Michigan, a three-point lead in Pennsylvania, and the two candidates are tied in Wisconsin.
Trump, however, just held a big rally in Wisconsin this week, using Joe Biden’s garbage line to attack Democrats, so that could push the needle there.
If these trends hold, it could be a landslide for Trump in the Electoral College, while still having a very close popular vote election.
