Joe Biden Collapse...It's OVER

In what many are calling one of the most important moments of the debate, President Trump pushed Joe Biden into openly admitting that he would “transition from the oil industry.”

“Would you close down the oil industry?” President Trump asked Biden.

Biden responded, “I would transition from the oil industry, yes.”

Trump immediately jumped on Biden’s admission, saying; “It’s a big statement.”

“It is a big statement because…” Biden starts to respond, but is interrupted by the moderator.

“Why would you do that?” asked moderator Kristen Welker.

“Because the oil industry pollutes significantly… Because it has to be replaced by renewable energy over time — over time, and I’d stop giving to the oil industry. I’d stop giving them federal subsidies,” Joe Biden said.

“That’s maybe the biggest statement in terms of business. That’s the biggest statement, because basically what he’s saying is he’s going to destroy the oil industry,” Trump said.

“Will you remember that Texas? Will you remember that Pennsylvania? Oklahoma? Ohio?” Trump asked, referencing states whose economies rely heavily on the oil industry.

People who live in these states depend on the oil industry. Without it, their economies would collapse, people would lose their jobs, and families would starve. Many on the left often claim that these workers would just transition over into the renewable energy sector, as if job skills just change easily.

This is not realistic, expecting older Americans who have spent their entire lives working in the oil industry to simply learn how to work with windmills or solar panels. The Democrats’ renewable energy pipe dream may very well destroy the American economy, and the American people’s lives.

Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto commented on the exchange after the debate, referring to it as an “unforced error” on the part of Joe Biden.

“That’s what they call an unforced error, folks. I don’t know if that was his intention, but that sounds very familiar to me. The goof that Gerald Ford made in the 1976 debate with Jimmy Carter when he famously said Eastern Europe was not under any Soviet aggression or oversight.

Gerald Ford lost the debate that night, and many argued that he lost what was a closing race for him when the numbers were looking good because of that comment, that the Soviets had no dominating influence over Eastern Europe,” Cavuto said.

“This is a very different beast, I grant you…But over the debate over fracking and whether he’s for or against it, he says on public lands. I’m against it. I’m for it on private lands. But to go the extra step of saying, you know, eventually close down the oil industry, I’m sure he would want to take back or at least clarify that remark tomorrow,” Cavuto added.
