How can you possibly be part of a scheme to discredit a presidential candidate and get off scot-free?
That is the question most conservatives are asking right now.
Igor Danchenko has been acquitted on all charges, dealing John Durham a massive setback.
Innocent
This should have been an open-and-shut case.
However, last week, the presiding judge had already dismissed one count in the case.
When that happened, it seemed imminent that Danchenko was going to get a full walk, and he just did.
The only case that came to a positive conclusion was the one against ex-FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, and that was only because it was a plea deal.
Based on these cases, I would bet Clinesmith wished he had rolled the dice and taken his chances in court.
It is hard to imagine that Durham will bring any more indictments to the table.
If that is the case, the next step would be for him to produce his report.
That is pretty much a paperweight at this point, as the report will have little credibility in the eyes of the media and Democrats without any successful prosecutions.
