On the morning of December 2nd, a dead body was found dumped in a field on the side of the road just north of a casino in Spokane County, Washington.
Sheriff’s deputies in Spokane County are currently investigating in Airway Heights after a body was discovered on the side of the road near N. Hayford Road and W. Balmer Road just north of the Northern Quest Casino. Deputies responded to the scene of the crime at 10:10 a.m. to gather evidence, and enlisted the help of Major Crimes Detectives and other law enforcement agencies.
A witness told local news outlet 4 News Now that she saw a car pull over on the side of the road and dump the dead body.
Little information has been provided to the public or to the media about the circumstances behind the death, or the identity of the victim.
The Sheriff’s Office has since determined from the information gathered at the scene that the death was “possibly a homicide,” according to an update posted to the office’s official Facebook page.

“With the assistance of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Air Support Unit UAS Team, Forensic Unit Technicians, and Traffic Unit Investigators, Detectives processed the scene.
In the coming days, the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the decedent’s identity along with the cause and manner of death.
Major Crimes Detectives received information at the scene that indicates this is possibly a homicide. They continue to comb over evidence and information as they work to determine the facts, circumstances, and timeline leading up to today’s discovery of the deceased.
