Wife A went out with Couple B for drinks,” Husband A stayed home and ended up dead on the ground, shot by the other male. Things got really confusing for the Harris County Sheriff’s department. All they know for sure is that they have a homicide investigation on their hands.

One husband kills the other

A Texas man is behind bars after he shot and killed the husband of a woman he and his wife “entertained” earlier. The trio allegedly spent the evening drinking. The fight started when they brought her home.

Police aren’t naming any names, so they’re sticking to Couple A and Couple B. They did confirm “both men were in their early 40’s.

Mr. and Mrs. B “dropped Wife A off at home, after the night out concluded right before 3 a.m.” That, the deputies relate, is when “Husband A got mad and confronted Husband B.” It could have ended with an argument but it didn’t.

Couple B drove home, a mile or so away. Mrs. B stayed home this time, while Mr. B went back out, with his gun. He headed back to the home of Couple A. That sort of seems a little backwards to police. They would expect Mr. A to be the one waving a gun around.

The sheriff isn’t buying the story that the deputies are being told. They know for sure that Husband A is now dead and Mr. B killed him. According to Sergeant Ben Beall, “this husband is upset.

He confronts the man for taking his wife out drinking. And then, that’s when the shooting occurred.” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reports that “his deputies responded to the 24700 block of Oconee Drive regarding shots being heard and someone lying on the ground.

Left and got a gun

The thing that has the Sheriff scratching his head is the preliminary information indicating “the men got into an argument. One of them left, got a gun, and returned.

Upon returning, both males argued again, and the armed man shot the other.” When one husband shoots another, it’s usually the other one on the ground.

Neighbor David Geisler told local news outlets that he grabbed his phone and rushed out after hearing “something that sounded like a scream and then a gunshot.” That was followed, he relates, “by the screaming getting even louder.

Running up, he “found the dying man on the ground with a wound in the stomach. He called 911 and attempted to help, but the man was not breathing.” Things get really freaky. Somehow, Husband B ended up back in his car.

After the neighbor called 911, “a car pulled up and a gentleman got out of the car. They had some words. As far as everything, the screaming going on, I didn’t hear what actually took place. He walked up to me and looked at me and said, ‘I shot him.” Husband B didn’t give a statement.

Police haven’t filed any charges. The wife of the victim also went to the hospital “because she was distraught.” Couple A’s two daughters “were home during the shooting but physically unhurt. They are with family. The couple also reportedly has a son who was not at the residence.
