U.S. troops stationed at a military base in Iraq are under attack by a barrage of Katyusha rockets landing inside the base.

“According to an Iraqi officer, an Iraqi base housing U.S. troops in the western Anbar province was hit with five Katyusha rockets on Wednesday evening; three other rockets fell outside the base’s parameter,” the Associated Press reported. “The officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations, said U.S.-led coalition forces at the base were forced into shelters by the barrage.”

Sources have claimed that there has been no significant damage or casualties from the attacks thus far.

There have been warnings from U.S. officials recently of future attacks by Iran-backed proxies in retaliation for the killing of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Qods Force (IRGC-QF) Commander Qassem Soleimani by U.S. forces in 2020. The IRGC-QF is a U.S.-designated terrorist organization.

The current attack follows a foiled attack that took place yesterday, January 4th, where two exposive-laden drones were successfully shot down by Iraq’s air defenses as they were approaching the Ain al-Asad air base, which houses U.S. troops.

Another attempted attack took place on January 3rd, in which Iraqi air defenses took down two drones just as they were approaching a base housing U.S. forces near Baghdad’s international airport.

Iran and their terrorist proxy groups have become emboldened since Joe Biden took office, obviously not fearing any sort of response from the weak administration for their actions. While the Trump administration was tough on the terrorist country, Biden wants to reenter the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal in attempts to placate the regime.

The Daily Wire reports: “The attacks come as the Biden administration desperately tries to get Iran to reenter a controversial nuclear agreement that critics say did little-to-nothing to stop Iran from being able to obtain a nuclear weapon.”

Of course, Iran isn’t going to stop in their quest to obtain a nuclear bomb. Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke out about this issue in late 2021, saying that Israel was preparing to take action against Iran as it was rapidly approaching the point of having enough nuclear material to build a bomb.

During a speech at the United Nations, Bennett vowed that Israel would never allow that to happen. He also warned that Iran was behind much of the violence and chaos in the Middle East, and that, as the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, Iran was a global problem.

“Iran’s nuclear weapon program is at a critical point. All red lines have been crossed. Inspections — ignored. All wishful-thinking — proven false,” Bennett said. “Iran is currently violating the IAEAs safeguard agreements — and it’s getting away with it. They harass inspectors and sabotage their investigations — and they’re getting away with it. They enrich Uranium to the level of 60 percent, which is only one step short of weapons-grade material — and they’re getting away with it.”

“Evidence which clearly proves Iran’s intentions for nuclear weapons in secret sites in Turquzabad, Teheran & Marivan — is ignored,” he continued. “Iran’s nuclear program has hit a watershed moment. And so has our tolerance.”

“Words do not stop centrifuges from spinning. There are those in the world who seem to view Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons as an inevitable reality, as a done deal, or they’ve just become tired of hearing about it,” Bennett concluded. “Israel doesn’t have that privilege. We cannot tire. We will not tire. Israel will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.”
