Breaking: Empire State Building Bomb Threat

An anonymous 911 call was made just after 11 a.m. on December 27 to report that a bomb would go off at the Empire State Building at noon.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) bomb squad was called to the scene, and an investigation was conducted. The Empire State Building was determined to be safe.

According to police, the threat was unfounded. Law enforcement are now trying to determine who made the 911 call and why.

This bomb threat came just two days after an explosion hit downtown Nashville, Tennessee on Christmas morning. A recorded warning played just prior to the explosion, warning those nearby to evacuate the area.

Since the incident, authorities around the country have been on high alert for similar attacks.

Federal investigators have determined that the person responsible for the Nashville bombing was Anthony Warner, who was killed in the explosion. No motive has been revealed as of yet.
