John Solomon is one of the few political insiders with credibility. When he catches leaks in his bucket, they generally turn out to have dripped from high places. This week he told Maria Bartiromo that one of “Comey and McCabe’s inner circle at the FBI” is singing like a canary to Special Investigator John Durham. That’s a bombshell revelation but the Imperial Palace has the DOJ bomb squad working overtime to diffuse it.
Solomon expects charges
Maria Bartiromo one of the few television personalities who conservatives still follow, now that Faux News has become so unfair and imbalanced. She got John Solomon to make an appearance in her studio on Sunday and he happened to mention that he thinks there’s been “a big break” in Durham’s Obamagate investigation.
He’s not naming names though. The big favorite in office pools is Rod Rosenstein. He would fit the description.
John Solomon reports "big news": "A former member of the Comey-McCabe inner circle, one of the senior FBI executives — I don't know which one yet — but one of them has begun cooperating" with John Durham…

Solomon told viewers that “someone who was part of Comey and McCabe’s inner circle at the FBI” has actually started “cooperating” with John Durham.
“One of the senior FBI executives — I don’t know which one yet.” Whoever it is could be looking at “criminal charges in 6-8 weeks.” There is a “strong possibility” of that.
The rat was high enough up the ladder inside the Federal Bureau of Instigation to do some real good. The “senior FBI executive” has “opened up a tremendous amount of internal knowledge being able to describe the nuances of evidence.”
The big problem is that what they did might not be an actual crime. As Solomon explained, Durham is focusing his efforts on nailing down “whether opening a false investigation and sustaining it with false evidence is a crime.” The scary news is that it might not be.
Is that a crime?
In common language, most people would call what Solomon describes as a “fishing expedition.” According to Thomas Lifson at American Thinker, “I am not sure if FBI agents opening up and pursuing an investigation without the necessary predicate is a crime. It ought to be, for it invites the sort of totalitarian abuses that characterized Stalin’s rule.”
Stalin’s head of secret police, Lavrenty Beria once said, “find me the man, and I’ll find you the crime.” That’s exactly what the FBI tried to do to President Donald Trump. Both before and during his term. If framing political leaders in secret does turn out to be a crime, then Imperial Leader Joe Biden will have to approve the prosecution. “Oh, no!” Conservatives groan.
As John Solomon notes, “Some of the witnesses I talked to and their defense lawyers feel like John Durham is getting ready to pull the trigger on some criminal charges.”
“Again, he has to get permission from the Biden justice department – we’ll have to see if that happens. But all the signs are that they are moving toward criminal charges.”
Solomon was careful not to drop any names with investigations going on but one rat seems likely as a suspect. Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. He appointed Robert Mueller to do the witch hunt and worked closely with both James Comey and Andrew McCabe. He also considered wearing a wire to entrap Trump.
“I had a conversation with Andrew McCabe about an investigation that he was conducting involving the president. And there was a discussion about whether or not the president would be recorded in the course of that investigation. I never intended to wear a wire, and I think that if Mr. McCabe asked me to wear a wire, we would’ve had to reconsider the whole thing. Because you can’t run an investigation and serve as a witness.” In other words, he was all for it as long as it wasn’t him wearing the wire.
