The state of Pennsylvania is a hotbed of sorts right now for the election.

The state just denied Cornel West ballot access, but it did remove Kennedy after he dropped out.

Now, the PA Supreme Court overturned a lower court ruling that will invalidate ballots received with the wrong date on them.

Big Loss for Dems

Republicans have been trying to get the state to enforce its election rules for the last four years.

Finally, the court listened.

The rules in PA state that if the ballot is wrongly dated, it is invalid, but the lower courts stated that it did not want to disenfranchise voters for this reason.

Shockingly, the state Supreme Court overturned that ruling, and stated that the lower court “lacked subject matter jurisdiction to review the matter.”

Now, I know some people think these rules for absentee ballots are a bit silly and cumbersome, but the fact is that they are in place to ensure the ballots are legitimate.

I am sure this case will wind up with an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court, but Justice Alito oversees PA requests, so I would imagine he would decline the appeal and allow the state Supreme Court decision to stand.

Liberals will, of course, lose their minds over that decision, but the fact of the matter is that election rules fall under the state’s purview, not federal purview.

This is a fairly straightforward issue, which should only be able to be changed with new legislation in the state legislature.

I see no reason why Alito would take the case since the Supreme Court ruling is in accordance with the state constitution and election laws.
