As the Biden-Harris regime was floundering embarrasingly on the wold stage attempting to cope with the Colonial Pipeline Cyberattack Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jennifer Granholm uttered a sentence that left 11,000 families shocked, angry and wanting answers.

During a Tuesday press conference Secretary Granholm was asked about the feasibility of using rail cars to transport fuel accross the country in additino to tanker trucks, in order to ease the supply shortage causing hundreds of service stations to close. Granhold replied that there were multiple avenues they were looking at including nearby deepwater ports which could allow Jones Act shipping and that rail transport has many “variables” noting “these are not easy solutions”.

Then she let this jaw-dropper fly,

“So this particular area of the country there – this is why we have doubled down on ensuring that there’s an ability to truck oil in – gas in,” Granholm said. “But it’s – the pipe is the best way to go.”

She seemed to stifle a laugh as she said it “The pipe is the best way to go.” barely restraining a slight head shake seeming to belie the irony. The very administration that scuttled the Keystone XL Pipeline and spooked the energy industry so badly that we’ve seen a huge spike in fuel prices even before the cyberattack.

The Instant Blowback For Angry Families

According to Fox News, “Freshman Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C., using a phrase often utilized by White House press secretary Jen Psaki, asked if Granholm’s comments meant that we would “circle back to the Keystone XL pipeline?” He wasn’t alone either, he just got there early. What followed was a deluge of outraged tweets from Republicans all over the country.

“Biden’s Energy Secretary says that pipe is the best way to transport fuel — I agree, Sec. Granholm [and] that’s why I sued,” wrote Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge. “Now tell the “Big Guy” & let’s put Arkansans back to work!” Rutledge sank the blade in and twisted it by referring to Biden as “the big buy” hearkening back to the damning emails found on Hunter Biden’s laptop which indicated his complicity in corrupt dealings with the Chinese government. Sick burn.

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr jumped in referentially mentioning is ongoing lawsuit against the administration which Granholm’s comment could now factor heavily into.

A Department of Energy spokesperson  on Wednesday responded to the criticism saying that Granholm was “referring specifically to the all-of-government approach to helping get the [Colonial] pipeline back on line and avoid potential energy supply disruptions.” Saying that it was “very clear” the Secretary was referring only to the Colonial Pipeline specifically… (except that isn’t what she said…).

“So this particular area of the country there – this is why we have doubled down on ensuring that there’s an ability to truck oil in – gas in,” Granholm said. “But it’s – the pipe is the best way to go.”

The Pipe is the best way to go… as it is with the Keystone XL Pipeline, trucks and rail do not work as well and are more prone to interruption or accidents and spills. According to YahooNews “House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., pointed out the quote from Granholm, writing on Twitter that the reason Biden killed the pipeline was “pure politics.” And Scalise is absolutely right. 11,000 families lost their livelihoods for “pure politics” even though “pipes are the best way” to transport fuel. It’s Disgusting.
