Unconfirmed reports, from behind what’s left of the iron curtain, suggest that Vladimir Putin had cancer surgery last week without telling anyone about it. The procedure was allegedly “successful,” so it’s okay to let the cat out of the bag. Not that there ever actually was either a cat or a bag, of course. Vlad denies everything.

Putin allegedly okay

Without telling anyone, mostly to make sure he had a good chance of waking up, Vladimir Putin allegedly “underwent ‘successful‘ cancer surgery last week and is recovering.” Rumors are swirling all over Moscow that the 69-year-old invader “underwent an unknown procedure late last Monday following advice from medics.” The advice was you’re going now.

As the Daily Mail puts it, the “treatment was ‘essential‘, according to Telegram channel General SVR which claims to be getting information from inside the Kremlin.

Mere hours after the news broke, “Putin appeared on state TV meeting with ally Alexander Lukashenko in Sochi, when he was caught on camera awkwardly twisting his feet while the pair sat down for talks.” That’s the second time Vlad was caught twiddling his toes on TV.

He made the same obsessive rotating ankle movements “during a meeting with Tajikistan’s president a week ago, and comes off the back of rumors that he is suffering Parkinson’s.” He may also have thyroid cancer.

Putin was there to talk about “the future of Russian and Belarusian relations, after his country was largely cut off from the Western economy.

When he did it the last time, President “Emomali Rahmon appeared to notice the movement during his meeting.” He kept glancing at Vlad’s feet but knew better than mention it. Some say “the twisting motion could be an attempt to cover up the kind of involuntary twitches caused by Parkinson’s.

Grabbing the desk

Since he fidgeted his way home from Tajikistan, “Putin was seen shaking his arm and leg before another meeting with Lukashenko on February 18.

Since then, he has been seen to grip the arms of chairs and corners of tables in what some believe to be an effort to disguise any shaking.

The cancer rumors started about two years ago at the same time Parkinson’s started being whispered.

While the Kremlin “has not commented on the latest allegations of Putin’s ill-health” and “regularly denies he is suffering any kind of difficulties,” state media reported: “On the night of Monday May 16 to Tuesday May 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin underwent a surgical operation.” They made sure to point out it was a rush job. “The fact that Putin should be operated on as soon as possible was insisted upon by his attending physicians.” All’s well that ends well.

According to the doctors involved in the treatment of the President, the operation was successful. We have already talked about the fact that Putin was personally absent from the information space from May 17 to May 19 and was not available even to his inner circle, with the exception of Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

It turns out that “From May 17 to May 19, ‘canned’, pre-recorded meetings and messages were posted in the information space, and Putin personally held two telephone conversations during this time.” By the 20th, Vlad was still to weak for meetings, then in the evening, “Putin’s health deteriorated and stabilized only on the morning of Saturday, May 21.
