One of the more controversial agencies over the last year or so has been the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Plane parts are falling out of the skies, planes are breaking down, and there have been numerous runway close calls and bumps of planes.

Mike Whitaker, the head of the FAA is where the fingers are pointing, but he just decided to resign rather than get fired by Donald Trump.

    Running from Trouble

Donald Trump has called out Joe Biden numerous times for not firing people when they do a horrible job.

Trump is still baffled at how nobody lost their job over the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.

We also point to the failings of the Secret Service, where Biden had no plans to fire Kimberly Cheadle after the Trump protection breakdowns.

Cheadle did wind up resigning, but that was only after she was embarrassed on the Hill during committee hearings.

Whitaker had to know that Trump would be firing him as soon as he came into office with all the problems we are having in the air right now, so he figured he would cut and run before that happened.

He announced to staffers, “The United States is the safest and most complex airspace in the world, and that is because of your commitment to the safety of the flying public.

“This has been the best and most challenging job of my career, and I wanted you to hear directly from me that my tenure will come to a close on January 20, 2025.”

Republicans, however, also need to answer for this clean because after Biden nominated him for the post, he passed through the Senate with a 98-0 approval vote.

I just cannot help but wonder what in the world the vetting process really is for the Senate.
