One of the reports we have been waiting for has finally come out.
The Department of Homeland Security Inspector General has finally released the report on the Del Rio Sector.
Let’s just say it is not very flattering for the Biden administration.
Overwhelmed and Overcrowded
The picture from this particular sector is not good, to say the least.
The sector saw a 98 percent increase over last year’s record-breaking numbers.
The Del Rio Sector alone had 428,555 encounters.
The report stated, “We found that Border Patrol held 1,164 detainees in custody in four facilities longer than specified in the TEDS standards, which generally limit detention in these facilities to 72 hours.
“Three of the four Border Patrol facilities that experienced prolonged detention times were also overcrowded based on pre-COVID capacities.”
I guess now we know why Joe Biden would not allow cameras inside these facilities.
The facility in Eagle pass was holding more than 1,000 migrants even though it had a max capacity of only 500.
The word sardines come to mind.
Considering all the outrage that took place when Trump was in office, I wonder why people like AOC never burped up a word during the first 18 months of Biden’s administration in this front.
Just another great example of the double standard in today’s political world.
This would be front-page news if Joe Biden were a Republican.
