As if he needed more problems, yet another scandal has popped up against Hershel Walker.
No, it is not another woman claiming that Herschel paid for an abortion or had a child with him.
This time, it is a tax scandal.
Derailed
Walker has been struggling to gain grip in the special election, and he just cannot afford another scandal here.
CNN broke a report that Walker took a tax deduction he was not necessarily entitled to.
The deduction saved him about $1,500.
According to the Tarrant County tax accessor’s office, Walker applied for the tax break in Texas AFTER he launched his bid in Georgia.
The tax break can be claimed for two years after moving, but you are not permitted to establish residency in another state.
In Georgia, there are 15 rules in place to establish residency of candidates, with one of them being the state where the candidate takes the homestead exemption.
I had always stated that Walker was a weak candidate, but I am just stunned that someone did not help him vet his own campaign better.
These mistakes we are finding are utterly ridiculous and things that should have been found before he ever announced his candidacy.
Once again, it is a candidate with Donald Trump’s stamp of approval, which will not help his case in 2024.
