Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the role of the media was to report the news and get to the truth.
If the most recent “60 Minutes” is the new norm, our media is now state-run media.
The interview conducted by Scott Pelley was one of the most disgraceful I have ever seen.
Where is the Pushback
These people interview Joe Biden as though they are terrified to push back on his lies.
Pelley threw so many softballs at Biden, he should be playing on the women’s Olympic team.
NewsBusters analyst Kevin Tober lit Pelley up, stating, “Once Pelley was finished with his servile opening introduction for Biden, he began by asking the president a series of questions about the economic calamity Biden has caused.
“Although, Pelley didn’t frame it that way.
“Instead, Pelley let Biden get away with his lies on the economy and his refusal to admit the United States is in a recession.”
When Biden declared the pandemic to be over, OutKick’s Clay Travis wrote, “Left wingers are going to be furious at him for this, but this is also interesting because less than a month ago he justified canceling a trillion dollars in student loans by citing his covid emergency powers.”
Pelley clearly wanted voters to feel sorry and empathize with Biden, wrapping up the interview by asking, “You have lived a long life of triumph and tragedy. In November, you’ll be 80.
“And I wonder what it is that keeps you in the arena?”
The interview was, by all accounts, something we would see in a communist nation.
It was state-run media… period.
