Another star of another iconic TV show from our youth has passed away.
Barbara Bosson, who played Fay Furillo on “Hill Street Blues” died this week.
Bosson was 83 years old.
What is Happening?
It seems as though every day another star from an iconic show of our youth is dead.
It was only a few days ago that we announced the death of the Detective Munch, one of my favorite “Law & Order” characters.
“Hill Street Blues,” however, is something entirely different.
I mean, this was THE cop show of the 1980s.
It seemed as though everyone was watching it and I can still remember going to school the next day talking about the episode from the previous night with my friends.
Dennis Franz, Ed Marinaro, Joe Spano, Michael Conrad, Veronica Hamel… just to name a few.
Sharon Lawrence, who played Sylvia Costas on the show, stated, “Oh Jessie I’m so sorry to read this sad news. Your Mom was such special dame- smart, funny, and committed. She and your Dad were great hosts back in the early NYPD Blue days, and I admired her dedication to environmental protection so much. I send hope for comfort for your family during this tough and tender time.”
Bosson was married to Steven Bochco, who produced and wrote several shows that Bosson starred in.
Rest in peace, Barbara… and thank you for the years and years of entertainment.
