That might as well be the opening phrase of any city employee in New York on their first day of the job.
According to reports, all city employees are now required to take critical race theory training.
Unfair
An email was sent to all city employees advising them of required training.
They will have until March 6 to complete it.
In part, the email stated, “The training provides all NYC employees with a framework to understand… the importance of racial equity… in the workplace.”
A source familiar with the training told Fox News Digital, “Where they were discussing equity, how we have to look at people through a particular lens, that contradicted… [the idea that] we should treat everybody equally.
“I do not agree with what they want us to do as city employees.
“The [racial equity training] leads me to believe that they want the contracts with the city and the hiring from the city being looked at through this lens.
“And that’s what I think is really unfair. It goes against their [stated claims]… that everybody should be treated equally.”
This is clearly not about equality, but instead about tilting the scale against white people.
You want to start racial division in this country, well, this is the way to do it.
A city spokesperson insists that is not the case, stating, “It is irresponsible to equate two separate things as the same. In reality, for years, city employees have completed EEO and Diversity & Inclusion training, and the ‘Everybody Matters: EEO and Diversity & Inclusion Training’ has nothing to do with Critical Race Theory.
“Employees have been completing this training every two years, and trainings like these ensure that the city workplace remains a welcoming and fair environment for all New Yorkers.”
It was not that long ago that I thought we put racial division behind us, but that is clearly not the case.
Honestly, “equality” push by Democrats has probably set us back decades, creating more racial issues in this country than we have had in about the last 20 or 30 years.
