With every passing day, it seems like another Biden official or DOJ employee is resigning to avoid confrontation with Trump.
The latest to quit is a top regulator at the Fed.
Michael Barr has decided to tender his resignation, but he will be around through the end of February.
I Need to Leave
Barr and Trump were set to butt heads for sure, as there have been whispers that Trump was going to target him as soon as he took office.
For that reason, it was reported that Barr was seeking legal counsel to see what his options were as he expected to get terminated by Trump.
His attorneys must not have given him very good news because rather than go through a hostile firing, Barr has decided to resign.
On issuing his resignation, Barr stated, “The risk of a dispute over the position could be a distraction from our mission. In the current environment, I’ve determined that I would be more effective in serving the American people from my role as governor.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the Federal Reserve Board’s vice chair for supervision, and to work with colleagues to help maintain the stability and strength of the U.S. financial system so that it can meet the needs of American families and businesses.”
The odd thing about this is that if Barr really wanted to avoid a confrontation, wouldn’t he leave before Trump took office like everyone else?
I expect there to be significant turnover in the DOJ once Pam Bondi is vetted and approved.
Now, as I have stated in other reports, while the media and Democrats are going to portray these as revenge firings, this happens when every administration turns over.
Go back and look at all the people Garland and Biden removed from the DOJ when they came into office and you will see what I mean.
