Last week, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff was accused of slapping a woman in public.
The allegations increased this week when former co-workers came forward to make more allegations about his behavior.
It now appears that Emhoff no longer deserves that “gentleman” designation.
Nasty Man
Attorneys who worked with Emhoff at his firm from 2006-17 are starting to come forward to paint a rather nasty picture of the man.
In one complaint, Emhoff told his secretary to “Get the fu** out of my office ” and then bragged about it to his buddies.
It was like a scene from “Mad Men,” with Emhoff allegedly holding male-only cocktail hours at the office.
The women said he was “misogynistic,” “sexist,” and an “a**hole” to women.
Another woman who worked at the firm stated, “He had, for many years, cocktail parties where only men were invited.
“In the office, on Friday evening. When my colleague brought that to the attention of Venable [around 2010], that stopped.”
This is bad, considering how the media is propping him up as the modern example of what masculinity should be. Still, adding it to the other allegations is a real problem for Emhoff and Harris.
If you did not see the previous reports, Emhoff’s ex came forward to say that he slapped her in public so hard that he spun her around.
The next day, he cracked a joke about it and never apologized.
The woman provided travel documents and pictures to back up her story.
Emhoff denied the allegations, and thus far, the mainstream media has not even touched the story or broached the subject with Harris.
They are being careful because Harris was very outspoken in favor of alleged victims during the #MeToo movement, but they know she will back Emhoff here, which will be a PR nightmare.
