When it was reported that Iran had hacked the Trump campaign, we all kind of gave each other a knowing nod.
Iran wants the Democrats to win the White House because it knows the Dems will coddle them, but I also raised the question if Dems and Iran were maybe working together somehow.
Well, with the FBI stonewalling the GOP investigation into the hacking, now my conspiracy gears are turning overtime.
Block Them
When the campaign was hacked, one of the documents that was stolen was an oppo research report on Senator JD Vance (R-OH) that Trump had done to vet him for his VP pick.
According to reports, the documents were being shopped around, and they were eventually published by some hack that tried to take Trump down.
For all the times we heard Democrats whine about foreign election interference, they said very little about this and virtually welcomed the release of the hacked materials.
That is what had me thinking that some calls were made and a favor was done, but again, that is just my opinion.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) is now making noise over the fact the FBI is stonewalling Congress on the investigation.
She stated, “I believe there was politicization from the Biden-Kamala Harris administration that they were notified prior to the Trump campaign to tip the scales.
“The FBI has functioned like an arm of the Democrat Party.”
In its defense, the FBI has pointed to a briefing that it gave some members of Congress, which Stefanik more or less called a joke.
She stated, “I’m one of the longest serving members on House Intelligence Committee. When the FBI won’t answer questions, it’s because you’ve hit on something and they’re hiding something. They are corrupt to the core.”
The FBI then responded to the claims by Stefanik, stating, “The FBI under Director [Christopher] Wray has vigorously and repeatedly called out the threat posed by Iran.
“The FBI does not play in partisan politics and has proactively informed victims of the threats posed by this regime while also publicly bringing attention to their actions.
“The FBI has also briefed dozens of members of Congress across multiple committees in both open and classified briefings and hearings.
“It is no secret how active the FBI has been in countering actions by Iran as evidenced by the recent indictment of Iranian cyber actors linked to a hack-and-leak operation designed to influence the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.”
I would bet any amount of money that if you talked to Donald Trump and asked him what his Top 5 mistakes were as president, he would point to the appointment of Director Wray to the FBI.
Now, at the time, virtually everyone thought Wray was a good pick, and the appointment was applauded, but we learned very quickly that Wray was nothing more than James Comey 2.0.
If Trump wins this election, on Day One, Wray has to go, and Trump needs to appoint someone who will eliminate the partisanship in that agency and get them back on track again.
