Things just got a lot more interesting regarding the FBI raid against Donald Trump.
Reports reveal that the FBI took privileged client-attorney papers out of Trump’s office.
The DOJ has not yet responded to requests for comments on these reports.
Oops
The FBI and DOJ are already under severe pressure for having raided the home of a former president using the Espionage Act to do so.
Now reports are surfacing that documents that never should have been touched, let alone removed from Trump’s home, have been taken.
In addition to the attorney-client papers, they may have also been presidential privileged papers removed.
These would refer to communications between the president and his advisers that would be covered under executive privilege.
Trump’s attorneys reportedly appealed to DOJ officials on this point.
They recommended a neutral third party review all the materials to have any privileged documents removed from the seized boxes.
The DOJ reportedly refused the request.
I said it before, but it needs to be said again.
If the DOJ comes up short on this, it will utterly destroy the Democrat Party in what seems to be a clear attempt to weaponize the DOJ to go after a political opponent.
Biden officials and Joe Biden can say it all they want, but there is no way anyone believes that Biden was not informed or possibly involved in the decision to carry out this raid.
