Everybody knows the CIA does really spooky stuff. That’s what they’re paid for. Nobody really knows what they’re up to but occasionally they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar and we find out. MKULTRA was one of those jars full of spooky cookies. Some of them were dipped in LSD and passed out by prostitutes.
CIA missed seven boxes of files
Seven boxes marked MKULTRA escaped the CIA shredders. A couple pages out of those seven boxes saw the light of day for the first time in decades recently. The project which had men staring at goats had a bunch of similar projects going, too.
Over time, America learned about most of them. One little sub-project slipped through the cracks until now. Midnight Climax.
The Central Intelligence Agency was obsessed with acid. All the way back in 1953, while Allen Dulles was in charge of the CIA, MKULTRA was born. The entire project was a series of experiments on thought control through substances. In order to round up unknowing “volunteers” they used hookers for bait.
"A few years before West’s experiment, the CIA had run at least three upscale brothels in San Francisco. Agents hired prostitutes to lure in johns, who were given cocktails laced with LSD." https://t.co/pfhvFTXiEy

The fresh documents detail interviews with the prostitutes they paid to “entice unwitting, working class johns with illicit sex in order to dose them unknowingly with pure LSD.”
They were as obsessed with Russians as they were with acid. “Amid fears The Russians might perfect mind control before the United States government could manage to do so, the CIA turned unapologetically to experiments with LSD.” The experiments didn’t end with MKULTRA but that’s another story.
In the 1960’s, as liquid sunshine was splashing through the hippie counterculture, the agency set up “fake brothels in San Francisco and, later, Marin County, where hired prostitutes would bring the agency’s prey: the unremarkable men of the lower and working classes.”
Every drop in existence
The reason the spooks targeted that demographic is because they would “be unlikely to retaliate if anything went awry.” The Russians made them so nervous they cornered the acid market to keep the Kremlin from scoring any.
“The CIA was scared stiff the KGB was going to get all this LSD and come over and start dosing people. So, we bought every drop of LSD in existence at that point.”
Once they had a major stockpile of LSD, “They gave it to George White, and let George White start dosing people.” That would be “George Hunter White, a federal narcotics agent and covert captain with the CIA precursor agency, Office of Strategic Services.”
I don't trust government to figure out what the truth is. Government is largely disseminating disinformation. https://t.co/GWZqBii8O1

His job was to “develop or discover a substance with potential to control the minds of prisoners-of-war.” It didn’t work.
“Stocked with booze and attempting to mimic a ‘French whorehouse,’ rooms in the agency’s bogus brothels — replete with images of women in bondage and prints by artist Henri Toulouse-Lautrec — also came complete with two-way mirrors for operatives to kick back with martinis, watch the drug-fogged sexual activity, and scribble notes on what they observed.”
Congressional watchdogs weren’t happy. Midnight Climax they wrote after hearings, “demonstrates a failure of the CIA’s leadership to pay adequate attention to the rights of individuals and to provide effective guidance to CIA employees. Though it was known that the testing was dangerous, the lives of subjects were placed in jeopardy and their rights were ignored.“
